Ever since I moved out of the city and into the suburbs, my chief complaint has been the lack of good ethnic food in my town. We have tons of chain restaurants that serve cookie cutter American food, but no good ethnic food. So I have taken to cooking more at home to make the dishes that I miss the most from city life. I purchased this recipe book because I have been jonesing for some good chicken tikka masala, and I am happy to report that the recipe included is very thorough, well-written and easy to follow - and resulted in some awesome tikka masala (especially for my first time making it!). I also made the vindaloo recipe and it turned out delicious. The section in the back of the book on how to make special spices and pastes is particularly helpful. If you are new to cooking Indian food and looking to find a very good recipe book to guide you, this is the one.Product details
