I really enjoyed this book. The main and supporting characters were interesting and multi-dimensional. There is a bit of a lack in background, especially for the primary character, but we are given enough to understand him. It is an emotional book, and does at times manipulate the reader, but nevertheless it is enjoyable. You are definitely cheering for the main characters in the book as they try to find solutions to their dilema. I tend to read most of my books in one sitting; some fly along and there are some that I have to force myself to continue in hopes that they will get better. This book had wings.

This book to me was a really good book I loved Jade and Archias story. Jade who is kind of a loner with the exception of his best friend emery and a pool hustler wins s bottle in a pool match not knowing this one item would change his life forever in the form of a cursed genie named Archias. Archias a three thousand year old warrior who was cursed to become a genie by the gods after murdering his sister's lover finds love and compassion in jade together they try to break the curse and free archias while showing him that there's more to life then being at the mercy of others. There are many twist and turns along the way with quinton a previous owner of archias who has his sights set on jade. Jades cheating on archais with quinton to emery getting seriously injured by quinton and on the brink of death keeps this story being a constant page turner from begining to end and wanting there to be a sequel with emery's story at the end. Definetly a good read by Ms. Evans!
